Well folks I been lying here sick all day and pretty much monitoring Fox News while reading A Short History of the French Revolution. In as much as the Frog Revolution was born of the Enlightenment, I've found it enlightening to read. This book does much to dispel the many questions in my mind about how a once proud people could be so utterly screwed up today. If we stare in wonder at the nutty socialist and pacifist policies that emanate from France today, we only have to examine their revolution born in a orgasm of marxist leanings before Marxism was cool.

But I digress, the talking heads on Fox have been bleating all day long about what a busy news day it is and I give them credit for accuracy on that count. I just want to comment on two items of news today though. First off, in yet another indicator that our education system is completely irreparable the School Board of Stamford CT. wants to keep kids in class on Veterans Day. According to the school board, it's far better to keep kids in class because November is a busy school month and since the Veteran's Day holiday falls on a Saturday this year, they can use that time for teaching. In a sop to outraged Veterans, they say that they'd be happy to have vets come in and teach the kids about their experiences. Excuse me, but aren't the teachers SUPPOSED to be teaching the kids about veterans experiences throughout the year? This is a thinly veiled effort to eliminate holiday, mark my words. What if someone had suggested that we keep kids in school on Martin Luther King Day or President's Day? I'll tell you, the radical left would implode from the headache of even thinking about it.

This is just more squishy feel good bullstuff wrapped up in the soggy gym towel of multiculturalism. Our kids aren't even taught proper history any longer. We deconsruct microscopic segments of history and sociology instead of concentrating on the larger events and movements that have shaped us. This school board would like to eliminate the Veteran's Day holiday because at their core, they no doubt revile the military. Once the holiday is done away with, they would be more than happy to accept a day off in the name of some proper leftist institution. How about we just help them out, I've got a suggestion for an ADD Holiday for liberals. That would mark the work of Abortionists and Draft Dodgers....two prominent democrat constituencies.

In other news, the U.S. Senate today abdicated its responsibility to represent the views of the American People. A great majority of the public wants our southern border secured. Instead the Senate votes today to embrace comprehensive immigration reform before any results are achieved in securing our border. Mercifully 35 Republicans had the cojones to vote against this monstrosity. SECURE OUR BORDER and then we can talk about guest workers and paths towards citizenship. Without security on the border, there should be no talk of any other parts of the bill.

It is becoming more and more apparent to me that the Senate is a largely imperial body. These fatcats don't really take into account the feelings of most Americans after all, they are repeatedly told that they are "members of the most elite club in the world." It's just a damn shame when Republicans hold views in common with rotund drunken socialists from Massachusetts. It is now up to the House of Representatives to save the Republic from this travesty of legislation. The House is truly the last bastion of conservatism in the country and hopefully any compromise they broker with the Imperial Senate will be palatable to conservatives. Of course I temper that hope with the knowledge that the House hasn't exactly covered itself in glory of late. The latest stupidity emanating from Speaker Hastert dumbfounded me as he and Nancy "Skeletor" Pelosi demanded that the Justice Department return items seized under a lawful search warrant from the congressional office of Democrat William Jefferson of Louisiana.

You see, the Justice Department had only issued subpoenas for those items for the last 8 months. Subpoenas which were arrogantly ignored by a democrat whose avarice knew no bounds. With supreme arrogance Jefferson proclaims his innocence in the face of staggering evidence that he accepted bribes. So the Justice Department obtains a lawful search warrant and executes it and now both dems and RINOs are bent out of shape about perceived privilege in their offices? So Congress, which routinely issues subpoenas of its own in investigative matters, now balks when a search warrant is lawfully executed on the offices of one of its own. The hypocrisy is staggering. Only Republicans could have so badly punted a golden opportunity to seize the ethical high ground. Instead, based on dubious twisting of Constitutional interpretation, they ally themselves with the biggest crooks and far left nuts on Capitol Hill. This should make it all the more apparent that you need to send me to Washington in 2010. Of course first I'd have to agree to shed my integrity and dignity.

They call this Big Sky Country and never was it more apparent to me than Sat. night. Out walking the dog around the neighborhood under an absolutely clear sky and a canopy of a billion stars. With a big moon shining down from that indigo sky with the blending of purples, dark blues and blacks and the pink glow of the neon from Reno and the sunset out to the southwest. Groovin' to a little Johnny Bush and Justin Trevino and Amber Digby on ye olde iPod. In other words a beautiful night where a man can stare at the stars and contemplate life it's ownself. A night not even a democrat could ruin.

Speaking of nocturnal activities, I'm sitting here watching Foxnews and I see that the DOW is taking a dump today. Between the Iranian nutcase President and the waning fortunes of the Kennedy clan, I'm taking a financial beating. Of course anyone who drives is getting beat up by the Persian Psycho. The rest of y'all are probably wondering how a staunch conservative such as myself could have his financial fortunes tied to the notoriously liberal Kennedy clan. Well lemme explain, like any good conservative I stand ready to capitalize on opportunity, after all conservatives are optimists and forever looking at the glass half full and in this matter, glasses have a lot to do with it.

Seems a few weeks back I had occasion to find myself in my stockbrokers' office with a few thousand to invest. After talking over several stocks with him, I told him to buy shares of Diageo Inc. a multinational purveyor of fine spirits. I figured what the hell, I already own Defense stocks, (Boeing): Oil stocks, (Ultra) and Real Estate (Scudder Reef) what better way to confirm my status with liberals everywhere as a true Republican pig than to invest in some hooch. Besides I figured as long as there's a Kennedy clan, I should do pretty well with a booze company. Then comes Patrick Kennedy, D-R.I. proving the adage that the apple don't fall far from the tree.

Seems young Patrick ran into a police road block on Capitol Hill while telling officers that he was late for a vote...at 0245 hrs. Boy those congresscritters put in some long hours. My personal speculation is that in an attempt to memorialize the Teddy Kennedy Triathlon of drink, swim and run, young Patrick took the wrong turn. Instead of driving his car into the Potomac, he hung a left and hit Capitol Hill instead. Technically he only completed 1/3 of the Triathlon missing out on the swimming and running only due to his own inability to follow Triathlon instructions and police intervention. Of course we could create a new triathlon for young Patrick. How about drink, drive and obfuscate? How many different stories did he concoct to explain his behavior that night? Let's see, there was sleeping pills, then it was pain medication, then it was a mixture, then maybe he'd had a nip or two and finally he states he has a problem. (Like Lay's Potato Chips, I'll bet no Kennedy can have just one belt of hooch..)

Anyways it was that certainty that as long as there were livers in the People's Republic of Massachusetts that belonged to Kennedy's, hooch would be consumed, that led me to invest in booze. Now of course with Patrick Kennedy on his way to rehab I look for a dip in alcohol consumption. This in turn leads me to ask for help from you my loyal readers. Help to ensure my financial solvency and to keep at bay the socialist hordes who hate America, hate capitalism and most of all, who hate my pocketbook. I know that this is a man's job but I don't care what your gender is if you can help me out by pitching in to prevent a world alcohol glut. I need you all to increase your consumption by just at least one more drink a day. If we all work together, we can make up for the shortfall caused by a Kennedy falling back on the wagon. This may be the hardest duty I have ever asked of you all, some of you will embrace the challenge and others will shrink in cowardice at the daunting task before them. Like Henry the V's men at Agincourt, or Nelson's at Trafalgar, we all must recognize our duty and turn to. By drinking them, you help me and help to eradicate the menace of encroaching socialism...Like England, I expect that every man and woman will do their duty...

Ok folks, settle down. I know it's been a week or so and truth to tell I've been taking some hits lately. Who woulda thunk that my financial fortunes were so closely tied to the Kennedy clan? More on that later though. In any event I just wanted to pop in and drop off a quick note to let the faithful know I haven't deserted yet again. Some admin changes around here, first off I added a couple links on the sidebar, one to Dr. Mike Adams who continually fights the good fight against liberals and diversity nazis in academia. Also posted is a link to my nephew Andrew's blog. He is an aspiring photo journalist who God help him lives deep behind enemy lines in the People's Republic of California. Next I'm toying with reformatting the appearance of ye olde blog, making it a little easier on the eyes. Will see on that.

Judas Iscariot, Benedict Arnold, Vidkun Quisling, Mary McCarthy? What common denominator do these very different people share? How about sedition and treasonable offenses? Of course most of you all haven’t heard of Mary McCarthy and that very fact should speak volumes about the so called media in this country. You know, I’ve really got to tip my hat to the democrats, they don’t merely tolerate sedition, they foster it, embrace it and make it a part and parcel of their very existence. For those of you in Sun Valley let me give y’all a little background here.

Mary McCarthy was a former special assistant to the President for Intelligence appointed by IMPEACHED ex-president Clinton. It has been alleged and she has admitted to leaking information to the press about America’s treatment and interrogation of prisoners with special respect to facilities outside the Continental United States. According to her statements McCarthy felt obligated to divulge TOP SECRET and CONFIDENTIAL information to the press because she was bothered by America’s failure to provide terrorists and enemy combatants with cable television, haute cuisine and premium tee times. (OK that maybe an exaggeration on my part but no more so than McCarthy claiming to be a non-partisan professional upholding her oath of office.)

You see McCarthy was an intelligence officer operating at the highest levels of government. She had to know, beyond doubt what effect her leaks would have upon the media and the Bush Administration. If McCarthy claims otherwise she makes a mockery of the hiring qualifications for intelligence officers and implicates herself as an incompetent of the first order. Of course, being an appointee of IMPEACHED ex-president Clinton, it is entirely possible that she is both incompetent and unqualified. Divulging information to the press about the movement of enemy combatant prisoners, between facilities both in and out of the United States, information that is classified as Top Secret, is no different than selling missile technology to the Red Chinese. Oh wait, democrats have already done that as well.

Of course few of you have probably even heard the name Mary McCarthy. That’s because instead of a demonstrable act of sedition making the news, we are instead treated to a cacophony of leftists shouting for government intervention on gas prices and government inaction on ILLEGAL immigration. Tell me that we have an unbiased media and I’ll be happy to show you some beachfront property in Kansas. Forget the fact that this same humble public servant has contributed over $8,000 to democrat candidates and their causes, including the maximum contribution allowed by law to Jean Kerry in 2004. Of course there’s no agenda here. No, it is far more entertaining for the media to harp on gas prices that are determined in large part by free market forces and government taxation, and for the same media to clamor for unrestricted immigration for future democrat voters than it is for them to address a serious issue of national security. It almost makes you think you’d need a really outlandish violation of national security by a democrat in order for the media to take notice. Let’s see if I can use my fertile imagination to dream some up…

How about a plot involving a young couple? He’s a career diplomat usually tending to third world hellholes. He likes fast cars and long hair, especially his own and he dresses and acts like an arrogant fratboy. She’s a beautiful employee at the CIA and she uses her influence to keep her playboy hubby gainfully employed when his own Ivy League creds don’t do the trick. They claim the government has outed her as an intelligence officer though she was never a covert agent and that the War in Iraq was based on contrived intelligence, largely provided by assets of the very agency that she works for. Let’s see…nope, the dems already beat us to that plot. See Joe Wilson and Val Plame.

How about a story where a former National Security Advisor goes into the National Archives, allegedly conducting research. This character then gets caught stealing classified documents from the National Archives by hiding them among his articles of clothing including his socks. Nope…been done already, once again the democrats beat us to the plot…See Sandy Berger.

Maybe we could speculate about a candidate who accepts large amounts of campaign cash from foreign governments. These same governments could charitably be called hostile to the United States and they just might oversee the operations of the largest military machine in the world. This same candidate could be a bi-polar, shrieking scion of an influential family, raised in a Washington Hotel. Damn, that plot has been taken as well…See Algore.

Well we’re not having a lot of luck with more outlandish instances of National Security threats getting headlines. After all, each of those stories detailed above is largely ignored by the same media who would eat their young if a chance to smear a Republican presented itself. How about something way, waaaaay out….how about a Chief Executive who is a serial philanderer and enjoys games of hide and go seek with girls barely out of High School? What if he were to sell missile technology to the Chinese in exchange for campaign contributions and what if he turned down an opportunity to capture the world’s most wanted terrorist? Nawwww…no one would believe that….at least they wouldn’t pay it enough mind to alter their votes after all, the dems already claimed that script as well…See IMPEACHED ex-president Clinton.

Do we see a common thread here? Each of the instances described has a democrat as the central figure. Does anyone seriously think that this group of overage socialists can be entrusted with the legacy of Washington, Jefferson, Teddy Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan? I tell you, the future is more frightening everyday. With that most recent record of questionable and borderline treasonable activity you’d think that perhaps the democrats might just accept my quaint little nom du jour for them. They truly are the Party of Sedition…
