Hijo le mano….what an absolute disaster last weekend was. I hope my faithful readers don’t come looking for me after that bloodbath of gridiron losers that we tossed out there last week. At least the Pollack was smart enough not to make a pick of the week but the Texan and the Mexican both busted bigtime. (But then again so did a lot of sports betting services.) To recall, the Texan had endorsed Oregon, Air Force and Texas, all losers. The Mexican recommended Navy over Air Force and won but went with the Texan on Oregon and Texas as well as taking UNLV. All losses.

Now this week we look to rebound. Sorry we’re late here sportsfans but the Pollack and Mexican were down in Vegas on bidness and just got back into town. Fortunately, we had the opportunity to place a few judicious wagers while in town and had two winners with Rice and South Carolina. This week the Pollack loves Mississippi State and the Mexican agrees. Take the Bulldogs against UAB. Even though it pains us, we also like the Sodbusters of A&M to beat the Cowpokes from Okie Lite. Both of us love Mizzou over the Cornfarmers and The Mexican also likes the following: Take the Hub City Bandits of Texas Tech to cover 24 against Iowa State.

Folks, I’d love to toss out a couple more winners for you, but like I said, I just got back from Vegas and I’m dead tired. I spent Wednesday night not getting any sleep while a group of young cretins enjoyed a bowling party thrown by the President of Death Row Records, right above my head. What that means is that if you stay at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, there is an excellent chance that your sleep might be disturbed by incredibly LOUD, hip hop cRAP music and a bunch of morons engaging in proto-simian rituals they call dance. If these idiots happen to be in the VIP suite, no amount of complaining will get security to shut down the party before 0400. Needless to say, I will never stay at that establishment again despite the comped room.

I’m going to try to get back on the political trail here shortly. Now that the Republican race seems full, I’m taking a hard look at the candidates and deciding what lucky one will get my undivided loyalty. Until then sportsfans…good luck and keep those winning tickets!!
