What a week. Sheesh, with all the democrat sniveling about the economy and an exit strategy for Iraq, I'm still compelled to wonder what in hell is going on in the Bay? First off the A's make two questionable trades IMHO. Giving up your best pitcher down the stretch for some 2nd rate outfielder and then to give up your All Star catcher for a punch and judy hitting outfielder, what are they trying to corner the market on outfielders? What is Billy Beane drinking? Then theres the Niners. Granted they haven't won a game at Lambeau field since Ronald Reagan was president but still, I thought we might have a chance. But no, apparently Erickson got to the corn squeezin's before the game. He is an absolute disaster as coach. I say lose him and give defensive coordinator Mora a try. At least when his defense is allowed to blitz, they accomplish something.
Speaking of defense, seems like the Thanksgiving Holiday can't be miserable enough for our troops deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq. As if they don't have enough misery in their lives, Hillary Clinton has announced plans to spend Thanksgiving with the troops. Poor bastiges...Of course this is nothing more than show for Shrillary. She despises the troops and they know it. Deep in her dark socialist elitist heart, she knows that while she has to play the part of concerned matron, in reality the only concern is keeping her electable and the money flowing to her PAC. Shrillary is part of that annoying crowd which insists that the War in Iraq, not yet even a year old, and with better than 80% of the countryside pacified is a quagmire. Shrillary would love nothing better than for America to turn tail and cut and run. She and her elitist cronies at the UN (the same organization that with a straight face, gave Libya a chair on the Human Rights Commission) want a return to power and a humbled and prostrate America before the UN. If you believe that Shrillary has moderated her Maoist views from college, you are sadly mistaken. She has only become more skillful at hiding them while she pursues her accumulation of power.
What escapes the democrats is the simple logic of fighting "over there". Since the tragedy of September 11, 2001, we have not suffered another assault of that magnitude. I am sure that in the future we will be struck again but it makes sense to me to fight the terrorists in their own countries. Each one killed or captured is one less to make the martyr's trip to America. The same socialists and fellow travellers that inhabit the UN and the Party of Sedition, aka the democrat party, pray for failure of American policy under George Bush. These same appeaseniks want more engagement of American money and diplomacy and less of force. What they forget and what I will continually remind you of, is that their policies have been tried before and shown to be failures. The antecedents of these socialist demagogues once ruled Britain and France in the days before WW2. Their refusal to entertain the judicious use of force in stopping a dictator resulted in WW2. Now comes George Bush and he readily accepts that the judicious use of force now, applied to the rise of islamofascism, can result in saved lives later.
Now if you honestly believe that Howie Dean is better suited to defend the American people then I have some kool aid for you to drink...
