Kinda sparse in the postings this week and so much to cover. First off we have the spectacle on the Senate floor wherein Republican Senators appear to have finally found a spine and are delaying business (always a good thing in Washington) while they spent 30 hrs dedicated to demonstrating the obstructionist tactics of the democrats on judicial appointments.

Article 2, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution:

He shall have power, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, to make treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, shall appoint ambassadors, other public ministers and consuls, judges of the Supreme Court, and all other officers of the United States, whose appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by law: but the Congress may by law vest the appointment of such inferior officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the courts of law, or in the heads of departments

I'm sorry lefties, I don't see in that paragraph, a requirement for 60 votes to affirm a judicial appointment. Advice and consent and past practice require a mere majority. By filibustering appointments that the democrats find too in touch with American mainstream opinions the party of sedition is effectively gutting the Constitution. Of course that is nothing new for the PoS party. (PoS having another meaning entirely but I kind of like Party of Sedition as an aka)

In other news yesterday, the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals (Texas) affirmed the right of the State to display the Ten Commandments on the grounds of the Supreme Court. This coming on the same day that Alabama removed the Ten Commandments from their Supreme Court building and moved to oust Judge Roy Moore. As my beautiful bride said last night on hearing the news, Texas is looking better and better as a retirement option. Speaking of beautiful here is this week's Republicandy: Belly Girl in deference to the 22 European statesmen who rebuked France yesterday for denying any reference to the Christian foundations of Europe in the drafting of the new European Union Constitution.

Lastly we hear yesterday that a Chinese clothing firm is negotiating with IMPEACHED ex-president Clinton about representing their firm for a paltry 2 million a year. No doubt it's the same clothing firm that brought us these outfits:

Yes sir, he sold America out to the Chicoms and now he can sell his soul to them. Blood money Mr. IMPEACHED ex-president. You accepted untold thousands and perhaps millions of dollars in campaign contributions from the Lippo Group, a demonstrated front organization of the Peoples Liberation Army. Now you can wear their clothes and get paid too. Only in America, another shining example of the Party of Sedition. Be back atcha over the weekend enjoy folks and keep them referals coming as we spread the conservative word....
